Though ISA 2008 has just ended, we are already looking forward! We ask for your consideration as the website is under construction. We
would like you input in the process if you have any ideas.
Here is the Call for Papers for ISA 2009!
Here are the reports from the:
1) FTGS Business Meeting at ISA 2008
2) FTGS Executive Meeting at ISA 2008
3) 2008 Program Chair
Ongoing:
FTGS is pleased to announce our participation in the ISA Compendium project. Our participation is being led by Brooke Ackerly, with help from members of the Executive Committee and a Compendium Committee. For more information, or to remain up to date, please see http://sitemason.vanderbilt.edu/psci/ackerly/Compendium.
We are proud to have Routledge Journals as a section sponsorer. You may find their journals, especially Women: A Cultural Review and the Journal of Gender Studies, and International Feminist Journal of Politics useful as publishing outlets and research tools.
We have made available a calendar of events, the history of the Section, and our constitution.
We have also begun to revive the style and content of the Feminist
Theory and Gender Studies Section (FTGSS) website. One of the
first additions is that of a FTGSS discussion forum where we can create a truly
interactive community of scholars in the FTGS section.
We have also started work on a link page of feminist resources in international studies,a mentorship program, a list of experts, a paper archive and bibliography,
and a list of potential publication
locations and procedures. If you would like to contribute either to
the development or content of these or other sections of the site, let us know.
In this period of transition, we hope for your patience and
participation as we try to better our community. Thank you in advance
for your help and participation!
